VW Boys Pickin' Chickin' CD
The VW Boys release their fifth recording project “Pickin’ Chickin” on Fat Dog Records! Pickin’ Chicken is a collection of songs entirely about chickens. The VW Boys always have fun at their live shows and on recorded projects and this CD is proof of that once again. This collection of chicken tunes includes original songs by the VW Boys as well as songs written by Tom T. and Dixie Hall, Jeff Orr and even an old Everly Brothers tune. A highlight of the CD is chicken stories shared on several cuts by Tom T. Hall and Jimmy Martin. Also a special guest appearance is made by claw hammer banjo picker and comedian Robby Spencer. Other fun spots in the recording is bluegrasser Chris Jones doing an excellent impersonation of Willie Nelson and fantastic fiddle player Glen Duncan doing a fine Ralph Stanley voice as well. Lots of great music about chickens and lots of fun and laughs also. The VW Boys are extremely proud of “Pickin’ Chicken” and hope you’ll enjoy it! Songs Include: "16 Chickens and A Tambourine, "Chicken Reel", "Finger Lickin' Chicken", "One Legged Chicken", "Bird Dog", "Chicken & The Crow", "Ole Billy Ray's Chickens" and others.
